CKCC's Children's Ministry is headed up by Dawn Reeves.  She oversees our well-equipped and staffed nursery which is available for infants to children four years old.  She also teaches and oversees Power Hour, our children's ministry for 4-year-olds through 4th graders.  Dawn does all this on top of being married to Doug and having five children of their own ranging in age from 10 months to 18 years.

Power Hour follows the curriculum of Willie George Ministries.  Games, crafts, puppets and "Rover Comer, the Faith Dog" all make for an exciting time for the children.

Power Hour

Power Hour is as exciting as ever.  The little people are really absorbing God's Word and we are so thrilled.  I'm greatful to the new folks who have joined our team--the Huchthausens and Missie Christensen.  WELCOME, we are so glad to have you!

As most of you have already noticed, we have finally gotten our puppet stage built.  We are still working on our backdrops and prop board, but are excited to have it up and operational.  A big "Thank You" goes to Doug Reeves for building it (thank you, honey!) and to Sharon Reeves for bringing her expertise in design and sewing for the rest of the stage.  Thank you so much for your help!

We will be putting a list together of props that we still need for our curriculum.  I will hopefully be ordering the last of our curriculum soon and can finalize the list.  At that time we will print it and pass it along.  I am also going to get individual lists for the folks who have already volunteered to bring stuff in and let you know of the dates.

Nursery

Wow, what a happening place!  If you want to see lots of action, the nursery is the place to be!  Our little people population is growing rapidly and we are thankful for it.  We have added a gate to the kitchen door to help keep the little ones safe and out of the kitchen.  We are also going to add shelves in the closet to help keep it a little more organized.  And lastly we are also looking into a TV/DVD/VCR combo for the Nursery.

A big "Thank You" goes out to all of the volunteers who make our Nursery a safe and pleasant place for our little ones.
