Several Stoughton-area families were attending Madison Gospel Tabernacle in the late 1980s, and wanted to begin a charismatic church in Stoughton. With the support of Madison Gospel Tabernacle's pastor, Warren Heckman, these families contacted Pastor Ron Dobie to come back to the area to be the pastor of a new church in Stoughton. CKCC's first Sunday morning service was held on September 9, 1991. The church began renting the former United Methodist Church building for their offices and meetings, and bought the building in December 1991, paying off the 30-year mortgage just 13 months later! We remain at that location right on the main street of Stoughton, visible, accessible and willing to serve!
