Our History
Several Stoughton-area families were attending Madison Gospel Tabernacle, now City Church, in the late 1980s, and wanted to start a church in Stoughton. With the support of Madison Gospel Tabernacle's pastors, Warren Heckman and Ron Dobie, Christ the King Community Church sprung to life.
CKCC's first Sunday morning service was held on September 9, 1991. The church began renting the former United Methodist Church building for their offices and meetings, and bought the building in December 1991, paying off the 30-year mortgage just 13 months later! Pastor Ron and his wife Julie continued to bless Christ the King and Stoughton for 25 years. The Dobies retired from Christ the King in December of 2016. Pastor Jason and his wife Rebecca are excited to be able to continue to be a part of Stoughton community.
We remain at that location, right on the corner of Main and Prairie in Stoughton, visible, accessible and willing to serve!
